Retsis Repus

Between his activities with the NITS, Robert Jan Stip took the challenge to write new songs in the style of his legendary first group Supersister. Under the name Supersister Projekt 2019 he recorded this material with a number of music friends. These friends were Marco Vrolijk, Cesar Zuiderwijk, Freek de Jonge, Rinus Gerritsen, Rob Kloet, Henk Hofstede, Joke Geraets and Leon Klaasse. According to Stips no one plays flute like Sacha van Geest and nobody can play bass like Ron van Eck does. That is why he has chosen a totally different, not comparable line-up and he has added 2 strings and 2 trombones to the basics of bass, drums and keys. The Supersister typical lack of guitars therefore still works.

The first steps of this album were documented by Dutch television.
