This is our first " commercial CD " and only took 3 years to make after only 43 years of trying to create it!! Up to 10 musicians participated on each track. We have tried to bring together fun, insight, melody especially with complex chording to create an emotional package. 'Chemistry' was written about a strange romance that just evaporated one day, though love had bitten me deeply. We had a lot of fun making this recording which includes our new timbale player. 'Soul Smokin'' is dedicated to a wonderful person who happens to be paralyzed from the neck down. He is a lead guitar & bass player and can still play harmonica. His attitude says it all; he lives life to the fullest and doesn't let his soul get "smoked" or burnt up by petty problems. He knows the value of family and friends; this song is for him. 'Not me' was written about 20 years ago when a lot of rock artists were dying especially after they had just reached the pinnacle of success. I was hoping I was going to be successful in music too, but not die as they had. The irony is that I'm old now and if I succeed, I won't be there long either! 'Cruise Master Imperial' was written for my oldest son, 9years old at the time and is about a super space cop who has to fight 'one eyed Pete, the scourge of the deep' !! It's was a lot of fun writing and he enjoyed it, although he's now 31! 'Give me a Chance' was written to a lady (yes a woman) who was afraid to commit to a relationship, any relationship! It's Tom's (Lead Guitar) favorite song. 'Hollywood Show' talks about how romance often doesn't turn out like a Hollywood show, it often doesn't work out. 'Slut' is about a perfect woman (graduate of Harvard Business School, Magna cum lauda) who is a total knockout and of whom, "all the ladies are so jealous", cause they just can't compete, so they call her a name! Seen it several times! 'Fear' was written to me and 2 of my best friends: take a chance don't be afraid to live your life even if you have to risk. 'Honky Donkey' is the nickname given by some New Englanders I know who worked on Harley Davidson. It was intended as a commercial for Harley Davidson. 'Papa' is dedicated to my dad who risked everything at 30 with his wife and 4 kids to move to the U.S. while leaving everything he knew behind including, family, friends, home, belongings. He barely spoke English and when he arrived in Los Angeles the job promised to him evaporated! His sponsor helped him secure another where he worked til he retired after 30 years! 'Colors' is dedicated to Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles who are men of color, are blind and yet who give so much love and good music to the world. The song has many metaphors and is fun to figure out what each one means. It has a French chorus so you can practice your high school French again. Don't worry the album has the complete words in as big a text as I could afford to pay for. I hope you enjoy our work and if you do, please pass it around we want people to know who we are.
