Brief Description: When their grandfather buys a bookstore at auction in New Orleans, the Alden children help clean it up and discover that several people seem to be obsessed with the store and its contents. Jacket Description/Flap: The Boxcar Children help Olivia Chase, the mystery writer, open a new bookstore.

Contributor Bio:  Warner, Gertrude Chandler Gertrude Chandler Warner was born in 1890 in Putnam, Connecticut, where she taught school and wrote The Boxcar Children because she had often imagined how delightful it would be to live in a caboose or freight car.
