Tales from the Gilgo Graveyard

The County of Suffolk lies on the East End of Long Island, New York and is 20 miles wide. Generations of families have lived here for the past 200 years. New families find their way to the most beautiful beaches in the world and intermarry with the locals. Native families seek out new members, one way or another, young women are brought into the fold. The residents of Suffolk County New York live as hostages to a dirty 'shadow' Police force. The local courts make their money through this "Shadow Force" and together they march innocent citizens through a labyrinth of lies; robbing them of their license to drive, their jobs, their homes and their families. They use the local Department of Motor Vehicle Department to issue "coded" license plates to the "haves" and chaotic plates to the "have nots." The "have nots" are constant targets for tickets and arrest, always poor families with no generational ties to the area. This is a true story based in fact that begins in the town of Patchogue, New York a community loaded with criminals located 60 miles from New York City. In 2016, in Suffolk County, New York, the Chief of Police, Deputy Sheriff and District Attorney all were arrested. So corrupt was the County that the District Attorney was convicted of Obstruction of Justice and sent to jail alongside the Chief of Police. The Town of Brookhaven is at the heart of the Suffolk County cauldron of criminals, organized crime families rule the government. No one lives in the Town of Brookhaven- they are owned by the Town of Brookhaven. The Village of Patchogue is at the center of it all- a vortex for crime. This community came into the news and is notorious for the stalking and killing of an immigrant, played out like a script written for television. In 2019 the leader of the County Legislature told the Police force to "Stop acting like the Soprano Crime Family." This book reveals the attempt to communicate with these same Police, to compel them to investigate a series of crimes being perpetrated against young white Catholic girls, living in Patchogue, New York, in the Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church parish who attend the Patchogue Medford School District. These are the Mt. Carmel Maidens... many end up in the Gilgo Graveyard.
