ME@ME.COM Emails From My World

In the beginning of his music career Rosco sang in a heavy metal band called D. I. (Distorted Identity), a duo project called Research n' Development, and later he played and sang with the Super Fly Crew jam band in Tampa, FL. As a vocalist in theses bands Rosco found a voice but wanted more out of the music he was making. Distorted Identity and Research n' Development were both great learning experience but did not have the vision that Rosco had for his own music. He borrowed a neighbor's guitar and proceeded to learn various chord progressions and scales with no formal training giving him a unique sound. Rosco took his music to the local open mic circuit and had a great response. This gave him a hunger to do more with his music. He played with Superfly Crew and developed his sound which has continued to grow and develop. With hints of Dave Matthew, Seal, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and John Legend, he defines his sound as something to sooth and stimulate the mind and soul. Poetic and timeless in its nature. His music is an example of what is accomplished away from the formal musical structure and training. Rosco believes music is the ever extending emotion, vision, and voice of humanity. It harbors the power to build and to break down. The power to heal and cause discomfort. For every emotion there is a song that provides the exact feeling exuded by its listener and can affect us in so many ways. It is hard for him to imagine a life without music. This book is a culmination of those events.
