The Diplomat Postman

The Diplomat Postman is inspired by a true story of love that is tested by the hardships of working for the US State Department's secret postal service. The novel follows a single Diplomatic Courier, Bob Riley, as he witnesses real-time events of the 1950s and '60s and cultures that clash with his Alabama upbringing. Bob Riley's details take him behind the Iron Curtain and in the Middle East, often 'pairing' with CIA agents. Something goes very wrong on a Cairo mission, when a PLO doubles as an asset and Bob is caught in the web of conflicting agendas. The novel attempts to share what Foreign Service families have learned first-hand - the importance of global interconnectedness to achieving happiness.
