A black American baby handed over from her mama found the arms of auntie perfect. The child was a girl-child born a boy. Auntie loved her as she was as did granny. Mama eventually did too. Even so, the times were not tolerant, over 40 years ago, so the child could not survive without wearing a mean-face. She did not know she could be anything other than mean. Then she found others like herself... ? Who's Tiffany, a mild to read PG-13 trans-child coming out story. Set in the masculine-minded neighborhoods of black American migrant communities relocated to Los Angeles from the South in the 1960s. Tiffany wore the facade of the streets. Domestic disputes at home made the streets a safe alternative. Tiffany added hurt to her mother by getting into trouble. Ending up in juvenile hall before her teens, Tiffany met girls like herself, born as boys. Dropping the tough facade did not come easy. Nor did the effort to come out to her family.
