Integrating Literature and Language Teaching

This book deals with the integration of literature and language teaching. It helps to improve the literary and linguistic competence of students learning English as a foreign or second language. It draws its theoretical framework from the reader response theory of literature, task based language teaching and perspectives from cognitive psychology. Examples of how literary texts can be used in the classroom are given. The book can be used at tertiary levels of teaching.
