Brief Description: A coming-of-age tale of fanfiction, family and first love. Cath is a Simon Snow fan. Okay, the whole world is a Simon Snow fan . . . But for Cath, being a fan is her life and shes really good at it. She and her twin sister, Wren, ensconced themselves in the Simon Snow series when they were just kids; its what got them through their mother leaving. Reading. Rereading. Hanging out in Simon Snow forums, writing Simon Snow fanfiction, dressing up like the characters for every movie premiere. Caths sister has mostly grown away from fandom, but Cath cant let go. She doesnt want to. Now that theyre going to college, Wren has told Cath she doesnt want to be roommates. Cath is on her own, completely outside of her comfort zone. Shes got a surly roommate with a charming, always-around boyfriend, a fiction-writing professor who thinks fanfiction is the end of the civilized world, a handsome classmate who only wants to talk about words . . . And she cant stop worrying about her dad, whos loving and fragile and has never really been alone. For Cath, the question is: Can she do this? Can she make it without Wren holding her hand? Is she ready to start living her own life? Writing her own stories? And does she even want to move on if it meansleavingSimon Snowbehind?Marc Notes: Translation of: Fangirl.; Alfaguara.; Being consummate fans of the Simon Snow series helped Cath and her twin sister, Wren, cope as little girls whose mother left them, but now, as they start college but not as roommates, Cath fears she is unready to live without Wren holding her hand--and without her passion for Snow. Contributor Bio:  Rowell, Rainbow RAINBOW ROWELL lives in Omaha, Nebraska, with her husband and two sons. She's also the author of "Fangirl", "Eleanor & Park", and "Attachments". When she's not writing, Rainbow Rowell is reading comic books, planning Disney World trips and arguing with people about things that don't really matter in the big scheme of things. She has two sons, and if God hears her prayers, they will grow up just as nerdy and true-hearted as the protagonists of her books.
