Surviving Miscarriage

While most pregnancies result in healthy babies, about 10 to 20 percent of known pregnancies end in miscarriage. A miscarriage is the sudden loss of a pregnancy before the 20th week. Most miscarriages occur in the first three months of pregnancy.

This is a book that encourages vulnerability. Through the main character Awiti, the book speaks about the pain of miscarriages through the eyes of a modern woman and a traditional African Woman. It also speaks about the role men play in the lives of such women. The book promotes awareness and eradication of related stigmas.
