Racism as defined by Merriam-Webster dictionary is the poor treatment of or violence against people because of their race.
Or, it is the belief that some races of people are better than others.
In addition, it may mean antagonism, prejudice and or discrimination against others simply because they come from different race.
Current views of racism are usually based on social views of biological variances amongst people.
These views usually take different forms including social beliefs, actions, practices or political system where different races are grouped as inferior or superior to one another, based on supposed common inheritable characters, traits, or qualities.
