Putumayo's 'World Peace' was inspired by J. F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King. JFK's historic "peace speech" at American University on June 10, 1963 led to the first convention on the prohibition of nuclear testing and easing tensions in the Cold War. The themes he expressed, such as the ending of excessive militarism and 'making the world safe for diversity', resonate to this day. Fragments are included in the booklet.
